Principal: Kizzy Luke
Greeting Eagles Family,
My name is Kizzy Luke and I am elated to serve as the new principal of Foerster Elementary!
I am an award-winning educator with twenty-six years of experience in public education, including sixteen years as a school administrator. Throughout my career, I have focused on improving student achievement by building effective systems, providing meaningful professional learning opportunities, and supporting high-quality instruction in every classroom.
As a leader, I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of success. I am known for clear communication, collaboration, and building trust with students, staff, families, and community members. My leadership style focuses on empowering others, developing leadership capacity within teams, and creating a shared commitment to achieving campus goals and realizing a collective vision for student success.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston-Downtown, and I hold two Masters degrees, Education Administration and Curriculum & Instruction, both from Prairie View A & M University. I am certified by the state of Texas in four areas, Elementary Education PK-6, English as a Second Language PK-4, Generalist 4-8, and Principal PK-12.
In my career I have led initiatives that strengthened campus culture, increased academic performance, and fostered positive, inclusive learning environments where students, teachers, and staff feel valued and supported. I look forward to cultivating an educational experience at Foerster that will provide lasting memories for students.
