Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Foerster Elementary! As your principal, I am honored to welcome both returning families and those joining us for the first time. Together, we embark on another exciting journey under our theme, “Level Up,” where every member of our community—students, teachers, staff, and families—plays a vital role in fostering a culture of care, growth, and achievement.

Our vision is clear: to empower each scholar to reach their highest potential, equipped with the skills, confidence, and compassion they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. Grounded in our mission—to provide a safe, equitable, and excellence-driven educational experience for every child—we commit daily to creating an environment where curiosity, creativity, and character can flourish. From rigorous, standards-aligned instruction to nurturing social-emotional support, we pride ourselves on excellence in everything we do.

Over the past year, our dedicated team has made remarkable strides in elevating student outcomes. We saw significant growth in reading fluency through our targeted DIBELS interventions, strong gains on the NWEA MAP assessment in both math and language arts, and increased engagement during hands-on science investigations. These achievements reflect the passion and persistence of our teachers, the partnership of our families, and, most importantly, the hard work of our scholars.

Yet, we know our work is far from finished. Every data point is an opportunity: to deepen our instructional practices, to innovate with new resources, and to strengthen supports so that no child is left behind. As we roll out fresh strategies—whether through enhanced professional learning communities, expanded after-school enrichment, or schoolwide SEL initiatives—we remain steadfast in our belief that continuous improvement is the hallmark of a truly excellent school.
